White Mariposa Lily or Sego Lily is generally a late summer bloomer (these were found early July), often speckling a meadow, like stars in the sky. Mariposa is Spanish for butterfly and you can see why the lily is appropriately named. Look for these anywhere on the valley floor or along sunny mountain trails.
